Donald W. Muirhead specializes in patent-related matters, including building and maintaining intellectual property portfolios for large technology companies, helping new companies develop and implement a strategic patent plan tailored to their specific needs, and providing support for patent litigation and corporate transactions. Mr. Muirhead's experience includes representing and appearing for clients in patent litigation, working with investors and corporate attorneys on ip-related aspects of corporate transactions, and obtaining patents relating to digital and analog electronics, semiconductors, computer software, artificial intelligence, and mechanical devices. Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Muirhead worked in private industry as an engineer designing electronic hardware and software.
Mr. Muirhead is a member of the AIPLA, the Boston Bar Association, and the Massachusetts Bar Association. He is admitted to practice in Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Virginia, and before the US Court of Appeals, Federal Court and the US Patent & Trademark Office. He received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Lafayette College, an MS in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a JD from the University of Connecticut Law School.
